Public Works
The City of Jasper Public Works departments is responsible for maintaining and operating the city's infrastructure, including streets, water, storm sewer, parks, recreational facilities, and the cemetery. Also includes the maintenance of building and grounds.
- Streets: Maintaining streets, including snow plowing, street sweeping, and patching
- Parks: Maintaining parks and sidewalks
- Water systems: Maintaining water production, distribution, and water meters, including fire hydrants
- Sanitary sewer systems: Maintaining sanitary sewer collection and treatment
- Storm sewer systems: Maintaining storm water systems and ponds
- Traffic control: Maintaining stop signs and other street traffic signs
- Recreatinal facilities: Maintaining facilities, including janitorial needs
- Cemetery:Maintaining cemetery, including grass mowing, tree and shrub trimming and grave site preparation. Other cemetery functions include working with City Office on land sales, mapping and records management.
